Bad timing? Mr French former minister

Considering what has been happening recently in France and most of the rest of Europe the timing of comments by a former French foreign minister must surely be considered at best badly timed. As the Times of Israel report explains, others consider the comments as blatant Antisemitism. For the former minister accused France’s Prime Minister Manuel Valls of being under Jewish influence Monday, pointing to Valls’ marriage to a Jewish woman!

Valls is not his “cup of tea,” Roland Dumas said in an interview to France’s BFMTV, explaining that the prime minister once attacked him for his opposition to Israel’s policies and his support of the Palestinian cause.

Former French foreign minister, Roland Dumas, has sparked controversy by his comments

“He has personal alliances, everyone knows that he’s married to someone who has an influence on him,” Dumas said, referring to Valls’s wife Anne Gravoin, who is Jewish.

Asked by the interviewer, Jacques Bourdin, whether he thinks whether Valls — who is very popular in France’s Jewish community for his frank condemnations of anti-Semitism and Islamic extremism — is “under Jewish influence,” Dumas replied: “Probably. Everyone is under some influence… I can think so, so why not say it?”

Why not say it! Well fortunately ASW is on hand to enlighten the former minister….. because at a time when the Jewish communities of Europe and especially France need their political leaders (or want to be leaders) to be supporting them one does not come out with such nonsense! All this will do is perversely energise those that seek to do us harm by reinforcing their perverted prejudices. Now Mr former minister do you understand?
